i-PRF is the next generation of PRP. Injectable Platelet Rich Fibrin (i-PRF) offers an innovative concept to overcome previous limitations within regenerative medicine. i-PRF Smart Cell offers excellent cell viability and bio compatibility with superior tissue regeneration.
What is the difference between i-PRF and PRP?
i-PRF belongs to a new generation of blood concentrate and Cosmo Pro are pioneering this exciting development in aesthetic regenerative therapy.
The key difference between PRP & i-PRF is that the blood is centrifuged a little differently and i-PRF does not use anti-coagulant. I-PRF targets the same issues as PRP, but it releases the growth factors over time, which means it could have longer-term benefits. The growth factors are what stimulate the stem cells that improve collagen and elastin in the skin. The platelets in i-PRF are thought to survive better than those in PRP, and therefore promote faster healing.
Platelets normally circulate within the blood and will bind to a scaffold of fibrin. When platelets bind to the fibrin scaffold, they become activated and release growth factors from tiny 'granules.' These growth factors start the wound healing process by creating new skin cells, collagen and blood vessels.
Scientific Data proves the i-PRF Smart Cell System yields a higher platelet count when compared to the well-known commercial PRP kits currently used in the UK.
Dr Steve Kitchen MSc MIBMS– Scientific Director of the UK NEQAS for Blood Coagulation with an additional scientific role in the WHO and World Federation of Haemophilia EQA programmes explains that “there’s too many variables with PRP and lack of standardisation. PRP companies have historically used a blood film to access cell count, this is still an estimate. The Sysmex XN-2000 Automated Blood Cell Analyzer accurately measures the absolute number of cells with no room for error”
Cosmo Pro offer one of the most comprehensive training courses in the UK. Training is £795.00+vat. If you would like to upgrade to i-PRF from PRP, please get in touch as we offer a conversion course: email@example.com
